I am so excited to introduce my new blog series, for the next few weeks I'm going to be talking about when I grow up! This consists of jobs I will have, the education I will need to prepare myself for those jobs, and how I can be more successful. On my dads side of the family most of the guys are part of law enforcement while girls are teachers, but my dad and his brothers broke this cycle one became a teacher, the other a veterinarian, and my dad became an environmental scientist. My mom on the other hand all of her siblings had jobs that dealt with math. My parents had always told me to find something I love and to work my hardest so I could find a job that allows me to do what I love everyday, they encouraged me to shoot for jobs that were the most challenging like optometry. But I had no interest in optometry or any of the jobs my parents suggested I look at. In 5th grade me and my friends set up a charity for abused big cats, like tigers, lions, and leopards, we visited a big cat sanctuary called Big Cat Rescue. I was inspired, all I wanted to do was help animals and I had decided what I wanted to be, a veterinarian.
This day would forever change me I changed everything, I was looking up the degrees I would need, the universities I would need to go to, and the experience I'm required to have. While I was only ten I was convinced this is what I would want to do for the rest of my life. But this is only the beginning of years and years seeking to achieve my biggest dream.
